For groups large and small, EarthTrek makes camping easy

Campground amenities include cozy pre-set canvas tents, hearty catered meals, clean and modern restrooms with hot showers, beach and river access, fishing holes for the seasoned or aspiring anglers, games such as ping-pong and cornhole, as well as free WiFi and electronic device charging stations. Catered meal packages are available for any trip. Our camp is also conveniently located within walking distance to a handful of local restaurants.

Our canvas cabin tents are situated on raised decks set slightly further away from the river and feature a covered veranda area with a built-in table where you can sit and enjoy a cold beverage or play a card game with friends or family. Each small cabin tent includes one double and one single bunk bed and each large cabin tent includes one double and three single bunk beds. Inside each cabin tent are comfortable foam sleeping pads. In all river and cabin tent styles you will need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow or you can bring linens and blankets to make it feel more like home.

Looking for an amazing and easy camp experience? Sleep the night away in one of our various canvas tents with two options and sizes to choose from to fit your group’s needs. Our canvas river tents are located directly along the water’s edge on a raised deck providing you with a spectacular and private view of the river. Each small river tent can sleep up to three. They include single and double beds, comfortable sleeping pads, and two chairs on the outside deck facing the river. Each large river tent includes one double bed and one single bed, comfortable sleeping pads, and three chairs.

FAQs

Does my tent include a sleeping bag or blankets?

No, EarthTrek tents do not include a sleeping bag or pillow. The beds do come with a comfortable sleeping pad. Guests are encouraged to bring their own sleeping bag and pillow or sheets and blankets, if they prefer. Sleep kits, which include a sleeping bag and pillow, are available for rental from OARS.

Can I drive to my campsite?

Vehicles cannot access the tent area of EarthTrek. All luggage must be carried or carted to the tents by hand.

Can I bring my dog to EarthTrek?

Dogs are not allowed at EarthTrek or the OARS American River Outpost. Please find other arrangements for your pets.

Can I reserve a specific tent?

Specific tents may be requested and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate it.

What should I bring to cook or barbecue with?

Cooking equipment is strictly prohibited at EarthTrek. A meal package may be purchased with any stay. The Super 1-Day rafting package will have prepared meals. There are also several restaurants within walking distance of the camp. 

Can I bring my RV or trailer?

EarthTrek is not an RV campground. There are no hookups or electricity. If you are traveling with an RV or travel trailer and/or plan to stay in your vehicle on an EarthTrek trip, please contact us for more details.
