American Rivers is championing a national effort to protect and restore all rivers, from remote mountain streams to urban waterways. Healthy rivers provide people and nature with clean, abundant water and natural habitat. For 50 years, American Rivers staff, supporters, and partners have shared a common belief: Life Depends on Riversˢᵐ.
American Whitewater is the primary advocate for the preservation and protection of whitewater rivers throughout the United States. The non-profit organization works to ensure the nation’s remaining wild and free-flowing rivers stay that way, developed rivers are restored to function and flourish, and that the public has access to rivers for recreation.
